Romans 7:1-25

With the celebration of Easter this last week, we made the first of two major shifts in our study of Paul's Epistle to the Romans. We have moved on from the first 5 chapters of Romans that dealt primarily with the idea of the need for God to "break in" to our lives and bring the salvation that we so needed and could not secure for ourselves. We now move into chapters 6-11. These chapters address the issue of the Gospel "breaking through" the muck of our lives. This week we looked at Romans 7, where Paul addresses the need for sanctification (the making Holy) of our lives as we wrestle with two natures.
